Donovan Construction gutted this outdated kitchen.  We rebuilt the termite rotted floor all the way down to new floor joist.  We installed new walls, ceilings, tile floor  and European style cabinetry.

Although small, this kitchen had the potential for much more cabinet and counter space. We designed a 'U' shaped galley kitchen and relocated the sink under the window. We demolished a low bulkhead and added a halfwall to open the space to the rest of the house.Looking into the new kitchen from the dining oom.Looking back into the house during construction. Looking back into the house after completion. Notice the new pendant lights and new solid surface, breakfast bar countertop. This whole wall was totaly unused for cabinets and countertop. We added upper cabinets, a new window, recessed lights, a double bowl sink and a dishwasher.During construction we removed the subfloor and all kitchen floor joist. You could stand in the dining room and look into the basement below. The finished product is a stylish, functional kitchen that fits nicely in this downtown home.
