Donovan Construction completely gutted and remodeled the existing kitchen of this 1930's single home by reconfiguring the current kitchen floor plan, expanding the kitchen into the dining room and relocating the sink and all appliances.  We installed new custom cabinetry, soapstone counter tops, stainless steel appliances, new windows and custom millwork.

Our objective was to completely gut and remodel the existing kitchen of this 1930's single home. We removed this wall and added square footage to the kichen while bringing in more natural light. This remodel involved relocating electrical wires, air conditioning ducts, heating, gas and water pipes. This door was closed off to the hallway (w/new desing, a second entrance to the kitchen was unnecessary). On this wall would go a new lighted hutch cabinet with custom leaded glass doors and glass shelves.Created an open floor plan betwen the kitchen and dining room.We enlarged the kitchen by expanding it into the existing dining room. The room was completely gutted and an archway was created from kitchen to dining room.A new triple casement window replaced two old vinyl windows which allows more natural light into the kitchen. The kitchen was poorly desinged and remodeled in the 1980's. View from dining room looking into kitchen.Custom caprentry matches the woodwork in the rest of the house.Recessed, pendant and under cabinet lighting was installed.Donovan Construction modernize the kitchen while maintiang a traditional look.
